Nasdaq Hits Record High as Oil Prices Slide

US stocks rallied strongly on Monday, with the Nasdaq closing at a fresh record high as investors returned to technology and AI-related stocks. Oil prices fell sharply to 12-day lows amid hopes of diplomatic progress in the Middle East. The US dollar strengthened, while gold moved lower.

The Nasdaq rose 2.26% to a fresh record high, while the S&P 500 gained 1.49% and the Dow advanced 0.71%.

Oil prices came under significant pressure as concerns around Saudi supply eased. Brent fell 3.64% to $100.09, while WTI dropped 4.51% to $95.78.


🥇 Gold

Gold lost 0.78% to $4,342.96 as the stronger US dollar weighed on the precious metal.


💵 FX & Bonds

The 2-year US Treasury yield rose 0.4 basis points to 4.747%, while the 10-year yield fell 4.5 basis points to 4.951%. The Dollar Index gained 0.19% to 100.40.
